MUMBAI: Thackeray, the biopic on Shiv Sena founder Bal Thackeray hit the theatres this Friday and ever since its release the film has received rave reviews.
The audience too has taken to the film quite well. Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s performance is being deemed as the best of his career and that is what is pulling people to the theatres. On the first day of its release, Thackeray earned Rs 6 crores, however on the second day of its release the film witnessed a upward curve as it earned Rs 10 crore at the box office making the total Rs 16 crore in just two days.
Nawazuddin’s portrayal as Bal Thackeray is winning hearts all over. Apart from him, the film also stars Amrita Rao as Minatai Thackeray. The film is directed by Abhijit Panse.
