KABUL (TOLONews): A 100-year-old museum in Shah Bobo Jan palace in the capital city of
Kabul includes thousands of historic and cultural relics.
Shah Bobo Jan Palace was constructed during the term of Amir Abdul Rahman Khan at the end of 19th century.
“The goal of the establishment of this museum is to showcase historic and cultural relics of various provinces,” said Khair Mohammad Walid, head of the museum.
The museum includes military equipment of previous governments.
“This museum includes four parts.
The first part is the relics, ethnography, clothes, jewelry and war equipment,” Walid said.
Employees working in the museum said that the majority of visitors are students.
“The university students who need to learn about culture come here as these museums are the places for cultural and historic topics,” said Shoib Ghazizada, an employee of the museum.
