The services of welfare are highly commendable: Asad

Islamabad: The Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser said that the provision of equal opportunities to orphans, widows and needy people is our collective responsibility and underlined the need for leveraging maximum resources to relieve the marginalized and poor citizens of Pakistan.

He stressed the need for establishment of Model Welfare Villages in all provinces of Pakistan to provide state of the art health, education and recreational facilities to the poor and needy people of Pakistan. He further said that observing the work of welfare organizations strengthen his own passion and resolve to advance the cause of marginalized communities. He expressed these views while addressing the meeting of heads of welfare organizations and philanthropists which was held at Parliament House on Monday.

The Representative of more than 50 welfare organization including the Patron-in-Chief of Pakistan Sweet Homes attended the meeting.Asad Qaiser said that the role of the philanthropists and social welfare organizations working for the welfare of the humanity and deprived sections of the society is commendable. “He feels satisfaction and happiness to work with these institutions”, he added. The Speaker National Assembly has said that the selfless service to humanity is a blessing of Allah Almighty.

The Speaker National Assembly remarked that a partnership between government and philanthropists organizations was central to assign substantive meanings to Pakistan’s quest for inclusive development agenda. He said that establishment of model welfare villages was one of the much needed initiatives.

He further added that the proposal has been communicated to the Prime Minister of Pakistan who had assured support to establish the model welfare villages in all of the provinces.

In this regard, the Speaker also formulated a Technical Committee to technically review the proposals and refine the project design. Asad Qaiser appreciated the efforts of all the organizations and emphatically stressed to replicate these efforts in all the provinces.

On this occasion,  the Patron in Chief of Sweet Homes Khan appreciated the keen interest of the Speaker in the welfare services and urged all the heads of welfare organizations to fully support the Speaker’ initiatives to establish Model villages.

The other participants also appreciated the Speaker and expressed their resolve to take this initiative forward.
