LOS ANGELES: Barbie doll fans will celebrate their favorite Barbie’s 63rd birthday this year.
A film has been made on Barbie in Hollywood that will release on July 21 this year.
It was first announced in September 2009 but production started in April 2014.
Famous actress ‘Margot Robbie’ is playing the role of Barbie. The film is directed by Greta Grogg, other actors include Ryan Gosling, Amerika Ferreira, Dua Lipa.
The first teaser of the film was released in December last year.
Barbie is a fashion doll manufactured by American toy company Mattel, Inc. and launched on March 9, 1959. American businesswoman Ruth Handler is credited with the creation of the doll using a German doll called Bild Lilli as her inspiration.
The new “Barbie” teaser trailer was released earlier this week, and it already has over 10 million views.
A big reason for the interest is the seemingly unlimited star power fueling the film. There are dozens of celebrities who have attached themselves to this production.
