KABUL: Amid growing criminal incidents in the capital, an unknown number of thieves robbed a tailor shop in Kabul city and grabbed clothes worth 260,000 Afghanis.
The owner of the tailor shop, Haji Sarajuddin, said he had not opened his shop for the few days, following the instructions of the authorities to stop his activities amid lock down due to coronavirus.
Haji Sarajuddin said he only received information about the incident on Wednesday when one of his neighbors called him at around 10:00 am.
He also added that he shared the issue with the head of the district municipality of the 10th district who called the police station and a police vehicle subsequently arrived.
However, he said the police officer mocked him and asked to take his measures and prepare a suit for him.
According to Sarajuddin, the thieves grabbed 56 rolls of clothes worth around 260,000 Afghanis after breaking in to his tailor shop.
Sarajuddin called 119 on Wednesday evening and was fortunate enough to receive a positive feedback as two police officers visited the area and requested him to file a complaint in the police station on Thursday.
The Afghan Ministry of Interior has not commented regarding the incident so far. (Khaama Press)
