PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Information Minister Shaukat Yousafzai, while regretting the clash between protesters and military troops in North Waziristan, said on Wednesday that anyone violating the law would be dealt with strictly.

“The place where the incident occurred is a sensitive area. Whether a person is a member of the parliament of someone else, there is no reason for going to the check-post being armed,” the KP minister said.

“They are acting on someone’s directives,” he said, speaking at a press conference here.

Yousafzai said he was not sure about the agenda of these individuals, however, alleged that they wanted to use Pashtuns.

“The state will not let these individuals undertake such action,” he said.
