Monitoring Desk

KABUL:  Another three Afghan players — M. Nabi, Zahir Khan and Mujeeb Zadran — have been bought for the upcoming IPL. This time ten Afghan cricketers are registered for the auction and four of them have so far been picked up.

Teenaged leg spinner Rashid Khan was bought for a $ 1.5 million by Sunrisers Hyderabad and Nabi was bought by the same team for $157,300.

Mujeeb Zadran, who is only 16 years old and is currently playing for the Afghanistan under-19 squad in the ongoing ICC U-19 Cricket World Cup in New Zealand has been bought by Kings Xi Punjab for a sturdy $629,000 and Zahir Khan, 19, for $94,380 by Rajasthan Royals.

Mujeeb Zadran shot to fame after claiming four wickets in his ODI debut against Ireland in 2017.
