KABUL: At least three suspects involved in a bloody stabbing incident in Kabul city have been arrested by the security forces, the officials said late on Wednesday night.
The Criminal Investigation Department officials in Kabul said the incident took place in the vicinity of the 10th police district of the city in Charqala-e-Wazirabad.
The officials further added that the three men had stabbed two people which resulted into the murder of one of them while the other has sustained injuries.
According to CID officials, the suspects managed to flee the area but were arrested during the operations few hours after the incident.
This comes as there has been a sharp rise in criminal-related incidents in Kabul city and other key cities of the country during the recent years. The CID officials said Wednesday that a suspect has been arrested in connection to a grenade attack in Kabul city that left at least eight people dead and around 36 others wounded.
The officials further added that a suspect has been arrested in connection to a grenade attack which took place a while ago in the 6th police district of the city.
