KANDAHAR: Three police personnel were killed in an armed attack in Kandahar city Wednesday.
Unidentified armed motorcyclists opened fire on police personnel in Faqir Baba street in the limits of third security zone, leaving three cops dead, a high-ranking official told AIP.
The attackers fled the scene, he said, adding that the police registered the case and started investigation.
Meanwhile, Kandahar police spokesman Zia Durrani told that the incident was currently under investigation. He, however, added that they had not received accurate information about casualties to police so far.
No one has claimed responsibility for the attack till the filling of this report.
