Three dead, 25 injured in remote control bomb blast

KHAR: Political administration said that at least three people were killed and 25 injured in a remote-controlled bomb blast in Nawagai area of Bajaur Agency of FATA on Friday.

The blast occurred in a truck at roadside in Chahrmang area of Nawagai, officials said. The injured were taken to Agency Headquarters Hospital Khar. Seven of the injured are said to be in critical condition.

The casualties are all said to be locals of the area. Bodies of the deceased were sent to their native towns. Injured being treated at Bajaur hospital
Arrangements were also being made to shift the critically injured to hospitals in Peshawar via helicopter. Security forces cordoned off the site of the incident and started a search operation in the area.

Political Agent Aamir Khattak directed the officials to provide best possible medical facilities at the hospital to the victims of the bomb blast.

The three deceased were identified as Khair-u-Rehman son of Fateh Rehman, Raheem Zada son of Abdul Hakeem and Muslim Khan. Elected members and political figures of Bajaur Agency rushed to the hospital and inquired the health of the injured persons.
