Three die in gas cylinder blast

BANNU: At least three people including two minor girls were killed when a gas cylinder exploded in a house at Bannu district on Wednesday morning.

Police said the incident occurred due to leakage of gas from a LPG cylinder in Haibak Mirmalak area of the district. Police further said due to explosion a woman and her two granddaughters were killed when she lit a matchstick to start fire.

The room of the house was also partially damaged in the explosion. Local people retrieved the bodies of the ill-fated diseased from the debris and shifted them to a nearby hospital. All the three dead were later buried at their ancestral graveyard in Bannu.
