JAMRUD: Mother and her two children were killed and six others sustained injuries when roof of room caved in here in Tore Khal, Ghundi area of Tehsil Jamrud on Wednesday. Line Officer, Jamrud and local tribesmen informed that family of one, Mubarak Shah was sleeping in their house when roof of room collapsed in wee hours buried them under the debris.
As a result wife of Mubarak Shah and his two children identified as Maria and Waheedullah lost their lives on the spot while six other residents including owner of the house Mubarak Shah, Waseem Khan, Naseem, Nazir Shah, Nargis and Zar Said received multiple wounds.
Soon after an incident, the neighbors and the administration officials rushed to the spot and launched relief work. They retrieved the bodies and injured and shifted them to nearest health center for medico-legal formalities where condition of two injured was said to be critical, hospital sources informed.
Cause of the incident was stated to be dilapidated condition of the roof due to torrential rain last day. Large numbers of tribesmen political administration and forces officials visited the area and sympathized with bereaved family. Later on after collected funeral prayers, the deceased were buried in their ancestral graveyard.
