Three injured in explosion in Peshawar

PESHAWAR: Police officials confirmed that three people were injured in an explosion on Ring Road area of Peshawar on Friday.

SSP Operations Sajjad Khan told media persons that the explosion took place near hospital situated on Ring Road and also confirmed the number of injured people in the incident.

Police has yet to confirm the exact nature of the explosion.

The affected injured were shifted to hospital after the blast.

Earlier today police and intelligence agencies arrested two terrorists in a joint operation conducted in Yasinabad area of Peshawar and recovered heavy explosives from their possessions.

SSP Operations Sajjad Khan, informing the media persons that 34 kg of explosives, IEDs, detonators, ball bearings, hand grenades, battery cell and other ammunition were seized during the operation. Sajjad Khan added that the arrested were plotting a major terrorist activity in the city.
