CHARSADDA: District Police Officer Charrsadda, Zahoor Khan Afridi here Tuesday said three new police stations would be raised in Charsadda district to further bolster security and improve law and order situation.
Talking to media persons, the DPO said one police station would be raised in City, another in Mandani Tangi and third one at Shabqadar Batagram areas. He said one new police circle would also be setup in Charsadda.
Zahoor said in 2017 year, a significant reduction has been witnessed in crime ratio after strict action was taken against proclaimed offenders, narcotics and timber mafia by the police with assistance of relevant department. Despite huge population of over 1.73 million in Charsadda and limited resources to police, he said, patrolling in all areas bordering Mohmand Agency were increased besides adaptation of zero tolerance against corruption and negligence from duties.
The DPO said no incident of aerial firing has been reported on New Year due to effective policing and cooperation of masses and that lives and properties of people were protected. He said culture of police stations was changed and pro-people policing was introduced to provide speedy and quick justice to masses. The DPO said the people can contact him any time on office and cell phone for any complaint.
