KABUL: Three prominent commanders of Taliban were killed during the airstrikes which were conducted in Wardak and Logar provinces, the military sources said Sunday.
The sources further added that “A Taliban attack planner, Ghorzang, was killed in an air strike in Sayyidabad district of Wardak province. Ghorzang coordinated high profile attacks and planned abductions of innocent Afghan civilians.”
Another Taliban commander Abu Zar was killed in a similar air strike which was conducted in M. Aghah district of Logar province.
“Saifullah, an al-Hamza Martyrdom Battalion Commander was killed by a precision air strike in Sayyidabad district of Wardak,” the sources said adding that Saifullah ordered and helped train suicide bombers who conducted high profile attacks around the country that killed hundreds of innocent civilians. Twelve of his fighters were also killed in this strike.
The anti-government armed militants including Taliban have not commented regarding the report so far. (Khaama Press)
