Thunder storm kills goat-herd

BUNER: During heavy rainfall thunder storm killed herd of goat and total 38 goats had been killed of the shepherd in Durmai area of tehsil Mandanr, Buner district. The shepherd namely Faqir Jan told to the media personnel that Saturday night thunder storm hit his herd in front of his residence however no casualties has been reported. He told that it is his asset of lifetime which has been destroyed by natural disaster.

The shepherd and local elders requested district administration and provincial government to compensate him. They added that the shepherds does not his own residence but lives in home of local landlord.

Police personnel conducted rescue operation in leading of In-charge Durmai post Bakht Muhammad of police station Nawagai. The police had calculated damages and estimated cost of Rs, 0.65 million. Assistant Commissioner (AC) Mandanr has said that administration had reported the incident and would provide maximum compensation the shepherd.

The local elders requested wealthy and prominent persons to help the poor shepherd and to provide employment because his assets has been destroyed in natural disaster.
