ISLAMABAD: Top US Defense officials will visit to Pakistan in coming days for getting support of Islamabad in the war against the terrorists.
As per the reports, Chief of Staff Chairman Gen Joseph Dunford is expected to arrive in Pakistan next week and hold meetings the Pakistani military leadership as it is the part of the preparations for US Defence Secretary James Mattis’ visit to Pakistan in December.
Secretary Mattis and Gen Dunford are likely to discuss the issues with Pakistan civil and military leadership for seeking assistance regarding establishing peace in Afghanistan and bring Taliban to dialogue table.
The US officials are expected to try to persuade Pakistan to root out the Haqqani Network which, the US claimed in the terrorists
The demand regarding concrete action against Haqqani Network also discussed by Foreign Minister Khawaja Asif and US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson in Washington last month.
