Toshakhana case: Court grants pre-arrest bail to Bushra Bibi till Sept 12

ISLAMABAD: An accountability court in Islamabad has granted pre-arrest bail to former First Lady and PTI Chairman Imran Khan’s wife Bushra Bibi in the Toshakhana case till September 12.

The hearing on the bail petition was conducted Tuesday by Duty Judge Abul Hasnat Muhammad Zulqarnain as Accountability Judge Muhammad Bashir was on leave.

Bushra Bibi appeared in the court along with her lawyers Latif Khan Khosa and Intizar Panjotha.

The court accepted her bail application against the surety bonds of Rs500,000 and extended her protective bail till Sept 12.

NAB summons Bushra Bibi

The National Accountability Bureau has summoned Bushra Bibi for the Toshakhana investigation today.

The watchdog has asked her to bring related documents with her. She was directed to appear before the Joint Investigation Team at 11 am today in the company of a male family member.

But Bushra Bibi still has not appeared before the JIT.
