Traffic police official injured in Karachi firing incident

KARACHI: Traffic police official has been injured in a firing incident at Liaquatabad area of Karachi on Wednesday.

The private news channel reported that a sub-inspector of traffic police was on his duty when unknown assailants opened fire on him in which he was injured.

SSP Central Irfan Baloch said the traffic police official identified was Irshad was on his duty near Gujjar Nala in Liaquatabad and he signaled a motorbike to stop but they opened fire on the officials and Irshad was shot in the leg and was shifted to a nearby hospital.

Police reached the spot and started search of the attackers.
