KARACHI: A transgender person was killed by unknown gunmen in late hours of Tuesday, while police arrested more than two dozen suspects including a female robber from different parts of the provincial capital.
A transgender, identified as Chanda was standing in the street with her colleques in the Defence’s Shahbaz Commercial area and suddenly unidentified gunmen opened fire on them in which Chanda was killed on the spot.
SP Orangi, Abid Ali Baloch has said seven suspects were arrested from Sujani area and seven suspected robbers including a woman were apprehended in Momimabad area. The suspects were likely to be associated with the 24 member gang which also has six women member. The arrested persons confessed their crimes of committing different robberies in different areas.
Similarly, police also arrested 11 gamblers in a raid which was conducted in Mobina Town’s Qauid-e-Azam Colony and they were sent to jail for further investigation.
