‘Tribal districts to witness change’

BANNU: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Information Shaukat Yousafzai Friday said that the provincial government is committed to bringing tribal districts at par with other parts of the country through comprehensive planning and development projects.

Addressing a tribal jirga here, he said that tribal people have part of the system for which they have struggled for 70-year and they see the real change in their areas within months, adding that decades old system would take some time to get replaced with new one. He said that the PTI government would spend billions of rupees in next ten-year on development and uplift projects in the merged districts. He said that time has come to change fate of tribal districts and bring those areas at par with other cities. Shaukat said that tribal people and security forces have rendered great sacrifices for the sake of motherland.

Their sacrifices helped restored peace in all tribal districts and the region, he added. The Minister said that security forces deserve great commendation for the sacrifices they have rendered. On the occasion he inaugurated Miran Shah Press Club which was damaged in Operation Zarbe-Azab. He also announced Rs one million grant for the club.
