Tribesmen protest demo against MPA in Mullagori

LANDI KOTAL: Dwellers of Mullagori staged a protest demonstration on Wednesday alleging Member Provincial Assembly (MPA) creating hurdles in building of a development project in the area. Scores of residents including tribal elders of Mian Murcha, Mullagori, sub-tehsil of Jamrud while holding placards inscribed with slogans in favor of their demands.

The protesters gathered at Marbel Chowk, Mullagori and chanted full-throat slogans against the allegedly anti-development attitude of MPA, Shafiq Sher Afridi, MPA from 105 constituency. Addressing on the speakers including Haji Manan, Sabaz Ali and others said that keeping in view problem of the locals scheme of construction of bridge had been approved in Mian Morcha area however MPA Shafiq Sher Afridi misusing of his power by halting construction work of the bridge by adopting various unfair means.

The accused parliamentarian wanted to deprive them of the development project that was a step mother behavior towards them, they remarked.

They blamed that by taking on such kind of anti-people plan by the MPA added miseries beside injustice to them and asked of authorities concerned to resume work on bridge construction project. They threatened that if their problem was not address immediately they would have no other option but to suspend Pak-Afghan highway for all kind of movement for indefinite time.
