Trump slams alleged plots to tap & oust from office as ‘illegal and treasonous’

WASHINGTON (Sputnik): The alleged plot involves Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein and former Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe, who told CBS on Sunday night that Rosenstein was “absolutely serious” about covertly wiretapping President Trump.

In a pair of tweets on Monday, US President Trump lashed out at two senior Justice Department officials for allegedly plotting to secretly record him in the Oval Office and gather support for ousting him from power.

“Wow, so many lies by now disgraced acting FBI Director Andrew McCabe. He was fired for lying, and now his story gets even more deranged. He and [Deputy Attorney General] Rod Rosenstein, who was hired by [former Attorney General] Jeff Sessions (another beauty), look like they were planning a very illegal act, and got caught,” Trump tweeted.

He went on by blaming the Justice Department officials for what he described as “illegal and treasonous policy”.
