WASHINGTON (Reuters): Steve Witkoff, US President-elect Donald Trump’s Middle East envoy, said on Monday in Abu Dhabi he hoped the hostages held in Gaza will be freed before Trump’s inauguration on Jan. 20.
Witkoff also said he was praying for a ceasefire between Israel and Palestinian militant group Hamas in Gaza would be reached before Trump takes office.
