TUNIS (AA): Tunisian health minister resigned on Saturday over deaths of 11 babies in a public hospital.
Abdel-Raouf El-Sherif quit his post after the babies mysteriously died in the capital Tunis.
Prime Minister Youssef Chahed said in a statement that he accepted the resignation.
Chahed said that an investigation was launched into the cause of the deaths as he visited the hospital.
The country’s Health Ministry said the babies likely died because of a blood infection.
