Turkey bus blast leaves several injured

ANKARA. At least seven people were injured when an explosion hit a shuttle bus carrying prison guards in the Izmir province of Turkey on Thursday. The mayor of the city, Levent Piristina said that authorities were investigating the incident and probably it is a terrorist attack.

Levent Piristina added that the bus was targeted when it was passing a garbage container in the morning and he shared a picture of the incident in which the bus have blown up and its windows were blown out and in the nearby streets.

Police are investigating and they are focusing the possibility of terrorist attack and we are getting information from the police department in this regard.

No militants groups have accepted the responsibility of the attack as Kurdish militants and Islamic state militants have continuously carried out terrorist attacks in major cities of Turkey.

Previously Kurdish militants targeted bus carrying security officials in which 13 soldiers were killed and injured 50 others in the incident.
