Turkey’s auto sales in Q1 nearly 88,500

ANKARA (AA): Turkey’s overall auto sales market, including light trucks, in the first three months of this year narrowed 44.2 percent from the same period in 2018, the Automotive Distributors’ Association said on Tuesday.

Car and light commercial vehicle sales between January and March reached 88,469, the group said in a statement. Automobile sales fell nearly 44 percent year-on-year to 68,812 in the first quarter of 2019.

The number of light commercial vehicles sold in January-March totaled 19,657, down nearly 46 percent from the same period last year.
