Two ANA soldiers killed, three hurt in Farah

HERAT: Five Afghan National Army (ANA) soldiers suffered casualties in a bomb blast while six civilians were injured when a rocket hit a house in Farah province, officials said on Sunday.

An improvised explosive device went off through an Afghan National Army (ANA) vehicle in Sheikh Lala area in the limits of Bala Baluk district, leaving two soldiers dead and three more injured, Farah governor’s spokesman Muhammad Nasir Mehri told the Afghan Islamic Press (AIP).

However, eyewitnesses said six ANA soldiers were killed in the bombing.

Separately, an official, who wished anonymity, told the Afghan Islamic Press (AIP) that a rocket fired by Afghan National Army (ANA) soldiers hit a house in Shewan area, leaving six civilians injured.

The Taliban have not said anything about these incidents till the filling of this report.
