Two brothers gunned down

MARDAN: Three persons including two brothers and a young girl were gunned down in separate parts of Mardan district, police officials told. The officials of Shahbaz Gari Police Station’s preliminary investigations suggested that two brothers identified as Sher Afsar (35) and Muhammad Ali (30) were shot dead by his brother-in-law accompanied by another accomplice over a women related dispute in Baghcha Dheray area located on Mardan-Sawabi road.

The accused, who were identified as Fawad and his accomplice Shah Naras fled the scene soon after committing the double murder crime, they told. They said that the allege killer Fawad had married sister of the victims some years back but recently she was in her parents’ home owing to a women related dispute between the two rival families. The officials of relevant police station had lodged FIR on the complaint of Shoukat Ali-brother of the two victims- against the alleged killers Fawad and Shah Naras.

In another incident, a man gunned down his sister over a pity dispute in Sherif Abad locality of tehsil Katlang within the remits of Katlang police station.
