Two brothers killed over land dispute

LAKKI MARWAT: Two brothers were killed in a cross fire on land dispute in Mammakhel locality near Naurang town on Sunday.

Police said that on the day of occurrence both brothers Muslim Khan and Hamidullah were threshing harvested crops in the fields near the village. They said that both exchanged harsh words on stopping running thresher which led to opening firing from both sides.

“As a result both brothers Muslim Khan and Hamidullah received multiple bullets and died instantly”, police added.

The deceased Muslim Khan’s son Abdullah told Shaheed Asmatullah Khan Khattak police that he along with father was busy in threshing harvested crop when Hameedullah came there and threatened to stop running thresher. “And at the same time he opened firing killing my father Muslim Khan on the spot”, he claimed.

On the other side the deceased Hameedullah’s mother Shamim Bibi told police in her preliminary report that she and her son had gone to the field of Muslim Khan to discuss some matters with him. “But Muslim Khan and his sons Abdullah and Mustafa opened firing on us killing Hameedullah”, she maintained.

Police said that they registered separate cases against the nominated accused persons under relevant section of law and started investigation.
