Two FC soldiers Martyred, six hurt in militants attack on post

BARA: Two Frontier Constabulary (FC) troops embraced Shahadat and six others sustained injuries when unknown militants waged an attack on the join check post of FC and police here in Nala Khwar,Malikdin Khel village of subdivision Bara district Khyber in wee hours of Friday.

The local police official informed that on 03:00 am early morning unidentified armed persons attacked at the combined checkpoint of police and FC platoon no.429 with heavy weapons that retaliated against the forces.

During combat two FC soldiers identified as Naik Murad and Ghaffar Martyred on the spot while six others including a police personnel got wounded who immediately shifted to Hayatabad Medical Complex, Peshawar for medical aid, official said.

Taking advantage of the dark, the militants successfully escaped from the scene.

The injured were known as Naib Subedar Shafi-ur-Rehman, Sepoy Shafiullah, Sepoy Ilyas, Sepoy Saddam, Sepoy Luqman and a police official Tariq. 

Following the incident, reinforcements of the forces rushed to the spot, collected evidence for investigation and launched a massive search operation in the area to trace the culprits, official said.

On Friday noon funeral prayer of the two Martyred troops were offered with State honor in FC fort, Bara that was attended by FC, police and forces officials besides people from different walks of life and later on shifted to their ancestral graveyard for burial purpose.
