KHYBER: Two transporters were killed when two long wheel trailers collided here on Landi Kotal-Torkham road at Michni check point on Monday. The administration official told that an Afghanistan bound truck bearing with registration no.TLC-142, loaded with iron materials container was on its way to its destination near Michni check post when it struck the loaded truck, moving ahead of it and turned turtle.
As a result two crew members of the vehicle, seating on the front of the trailer stuck in it for hours because of terrible collision.
Soon after the incident, the Khasadar and Frontier Corps troops rushed to the site and initiated relief works. They recalled cranes to retrieve the body and after hectic efforts the corpses were recovered and shifted to Landi Kotal health center for medico-legal formalities, the official told. The Deceased were identified as Samar Khan s/o Sodagar and Sajad s/o Zulfa Khan, residents of Ghani Khel Sheikhmal Khel, the official told. Cause of the accident was stated to be break failure.
