Two killed in motorcycle bombing

SHARANA: Two people were killed and five others, including a policeman, injured in a bomb explosion outside a hotel in the capital of Paktika province.

Eyewitnesses said the bomb went off in front of a hotel in limits of the 10th police district of Sharana, the provincial capital, in the afternoon. Witness Sardar Khan said the explosives had been planted on a motorcycle which exploded and killed two people and injured five others.

Civil hospital director Dr. Chinar Seddiqui told Pajhwok Afghan News that they had been delivered two dead bodies and five injured people from the blast site.

But Paktika police spokesman Shah Mahmood Aryun insisted one civilian had been killed and five others, including a policeman, wounded in the blast.

No group has come forward to claim responsibility for the incident. (Pajhwok)
