Two killed in Swabi over women dispute

SWABI (APP): Two persons were killed over women dispute in the jurisdiction of Yar Hussain police station, said police on Sunday.
Muhammad Altaf resident of Sher Abad lodged FIR that he was on the way in his car along with his brother Muhammad Farooq to meet with their friends that Iqbal, Munsif and Sabzal allegedly opened fire near Mela Larkhoro and killed his brother.
Meanwhile, Qamar Ali Shah lodged FIR in the same police station that he was on the way to bazaar along with his brother Sabz Ali Shah to bring luggage that Farooq, Sajjad, Hassan and Habib Nabi allegedly opened fire and killed his brother Sabz Ali.
The police registered separate FIRs and started investigation.
Journalists called on Speaker NA
A Journalists delegation belonging to district Swabi Sunday called on Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser.
The delegation was led by President Muhammad Farooq, General Secretary Azmat Khan and Finance Secretary Muhammad Riaz met with Speaker Asad Qaiser and discussed various aspects of media and problems faced to them.
Speaking on the occasion, Asad Qaiser said that the media has an important role to highlight the problems of people and playing role of a bridge between government and citizens. He assured that the problems of the journalist community would be resolved on priority basis.
He said that billions of rupees developmental works continued in Swabi district that would bring prosperity among people after its completion.
