Two MQM-London target killers arrested in Karachi

KARACHI: The law enforcement agencies here on Tuesday claimed to have arrested two suspected target killers associated with Muttahida Qaumi Movement-London (MQM-London) in Surjani Town area of Karachi.

Rangers spokesperson said, “Acting on a tip-off, the paramilitary force conducted raid at house in Kaneez Fatima society and arrested two target killers associated with MQM-L.”

He said that the suspects were identified as Pervez alias Lamba and Rehan Farooqi alias Rehan Chitta and added, “They are involve in target killings, extortion, snatching of sacrificial animals’ hides and other heinous crimes.”

The spokesperson further said, “The suspects are the members of a target killers’ team associated with MQM-London.” He said that the suspects were also involved in May-12 massacre in Karachi.

The suspects were involved in the target killings of Naeem alias Bhoora, Hamid alias Piya, Jabbar alias Jin and Awami National Party’s (ANP) activist Gul Aman.

Earlier, Police had claimed to have arrested a suspected target killer affiliated with Muttahida Qaumi Movement-London (MQM-London) and his accomplice in Karachi on March 18.

Senior Superintendent Police (SSP) Malir had said that a police party, on a tip off, conducted raid at a house in Mubaina Town and apprehended a suspected MQM-London target killer and his accomplice.

The police officer had said that the suspects were identified as Abbas alias Chadda and Masood alias Bablo. He said that Abbas alias Chadda was the target killer of Unit-99 Malir Sector and had confessed many murders during the interrogation.
