Two new mines discovered in Takhar

KABUL (Agencies): The officials of the Takhar Mines and Petroleum Department say that they have discovered two large mines of coal and gypsum on that province.
The mines are located in Farkhar and Kalfgan districts and were discovered some time ago by the engineers of the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum said officials at department of Mines and Petroleum of Takhar.
Mawlawi Abdul Naseer Haqqani, Director of Takhar Mines and Petroleum, said that the quality of coal and gypsum coal mines is high, adding that the mining operations will start soon.
After the Islamic Emirate took control of power in the country, in the last one year, 5.7 million Afghanis have been earned from the mines of Takhar only, according to officials of Takhar.
