QUETTA: As many as policemen were martyred and one other was injured when unknown attackers opened fire on them on Thursday morning at Double Road Bridge, area of Quetta.
Security forces reached the area after the incident and cordoned off the area. The bodies have been shifted to the hospital, while injured is being provided medical treatment.
It is the third attack carried out in first eighteen days of 2018. Earlier, on Tuesday unknown assailants killed a police constable, in what appeared to be a targeted killing, on Raisani Road in Quetta.
On Jan 9, a strong explosion near rocked the Balochistan capital on Tuesday, killing at least seven people including five police personnel and injuring dozens others.
