Two terrorists killed in Kandahar city

KANDAHAR CITY: The security forces killed two terrorists who hurled hand grenades at a security watch tower in Kandahar city, the provincial capital of Kandahar province.

General Tadin Khan Achakzai, the Police Chief of Kandahar, said the two terrorists hurled hand grenades at a security watch tower in 10th district of Kandahar city.

He also added that the security forces returned fire after coming attack, killing the two terrorists who had hurled hand grenades.

The anti-government armed militants including Taliban have not commented regarding the incident so far.

This comes as the Taliban militants are continuously attempting to target the security forces in various provinces of the country.

The attacks against the security forces continue despite ongoing efforts to launch intra-Afghan talks aimed at ending the conflict through negotiations.

Meanwhile, the police special contingent forces launched clearing operation in outskirt of Ahmadabad district, Paktia, in which 7 terrorists were killed and three others have been detained.

A hashish production factory was also destroyed. Several war equipment and three motorbikes of the terrorists were seized by police forces in the operation. (Khaama Press)
