Two Tu-95MS flew over the waters of the Chukchi, Bering and Okhotsk seas

MOSCOW (TASS): Two Tu-95MS missile carriers, accompanied by Su-35S fighters, performed a planned flight over the Chukchi, Bering and Okhotsk seas. This was reported to reporters on Friday at the Russian Ministry of Defense.

“Two strategic missile carriers Tu-95MS long-range aviation performed a planned flight in airspace over the neutral waters of the Chukotka, Bering and Okhotsk seas,” the military department noted.

As the Ministry of Defense specified, the fighter escort was provided by the crews of the Su-35S aircraft of the Air Force and Air Defense Association of the Eastern Military District. The flight lasted over 9 hours.

The military department emphasized that long-range aviation crews regularly fly over the neutral waters of the Arctic, North Atlantic, Black and Baltic seas, as well as the Pacific Ocean. “All flights of aircraft of the Aerospace Forces of Russia are carried out in strict accordance with international rules for the use of airspace,” the Defense Ministry emphasized.
