Two women die in Portugal Ismaili Center attack

LISBON: An attack on an Ismaili centre in the capital of Portugal claimed two lives.

The attacker, stated to be an Afghan, also injured several persons.

Police nabbed the attackers after shooting him as he defied warnings to put down his weapon.

Two women, aged 49 and 24, died in the attack. The Islamic Community of Lisbon condemned the attack and expressed condolences to the families of the victims.

The attacker is being treated at San Jose Hospital in Lisbon.
