Two women killed in the name of honor in Chakwal

CHAKWAL: As many as two women were killed in the name of honor in district incident in Chakwal district of Punjab in Tuesday.

As per details, the first incident was occurred in the jurisdiction of Saddar police station when a man shot his married sister in Thaneel Fatohi village.

The local residents told that the women eloped with a man of Thaneel Fatohi village a few years ago and now they had three children.

The husband of the woman is already in jail in murder case.

In another incident, two brothers allegedly strangled their niece to death on the name of honor as she ran away with a boy few weeks ago and their family traced her and brought her back to home.

Police officials told media that the incident occurred in Laiti village located in the area of Tamman police station and adding that the father of a girl was working outside the Chakwal and his brothers killed her daughter because they were angry on her elopement and they also feared that she might elope again.
