U.N. and Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development Partner for Development Projects

KABUL (BNA): A meeting was held between Mullah Mohammad Younus Akhundzada, the Acting Minister of Rural Rehabilitation and Development, and Indrika Ratwatte, the Deputy Special Envoy of the United Nations in Afghanistan.
According to a statement from the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development, the U.N. Deputy Special Envoy acknowledged the significant role the ministry has played in implementing projects in rural areas. He assured his organization’s assistance and collaboration in executing developmental and water
supply projects.
The Acting Minister emphasized the importance of executing development projects and prioritizing humanitarian aid for fundamental projects. He stated that their responsibility is to align projects transparently and effectively with the people’s priorities, ensuring sustainable benefits.
