QALAT (BNA): Construction has commenced on a new hospital in the capital of Zabul province, located in the Babagak area of Qalat city.
The hospital is set to include internal wards dedicated to pediatrics, gynecology and obstetrics, surgery, and emergency patient care.
The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) has allocated $300,000 towards the construction of this hospital. The head of Public Health Department in Zabul mentioned to BNA that once completed, this medical facility will serve thousands of families residing in the region and the nearby areas. This hospital will eliminate the need for these families to travel elsewhere to address their health-related needs.
