Union Coop web store expects Dh30m sales

DUBAI (Agencies): Union Coop, the largest Consumer Cooperative in the UAE, on Sunday said it expects Dh30 million sales in 2019.

The retailer also said previous year online sales as Dh15.8 million from the web store and online partners.

“Our web store crossed Dh5 million in sales by February 2019 and at the same rate we are looking forward to a figure of Dh30 million in sales by 2019 end, nearly twice compared to the Dh15.8 million sales of 2018,” said Khalid Humaid bin Diban Al Falasi, CEO of Union Coop.

“We are deploying cutting-edge technology in our web store to offer a next-generation shopping experience to the consumers.”

Union Coop, he said, is working to develop a dynamic marketplace to let suppliers participate in the e-commerce business and enable them to list only genuine and authentic items.
