Union of oil, gas companies organized meeting

KABUL (TOLOnews): A meeting on the development and progress of oil and gas companies was held by the Oil and Gas Union in the capital.
Sayed Mohammad Karim Hashimi, head of the union, said that in order to solve the challenges of oil and gas in the coming winter, they are trying to import oil and gas from the countries of Turkmenistan, Russia, and Iran.
“Every law and every standard and everything that comes into effect in our country, or the regulations that are given to us, apply to all merchants equally in the six ports of Afghanistan,” said Hashimi.
Some economists consider the continuous activity of the union to be beneficial to the country’s economic progress and the reduction of oil and gas prices.
“The existence of the oil and gas union can be useful when it causes prices to fall,” said Abdul Zahur, an economist.
“As you know, the goal of the union is Afghanistan’s self-sufficiency in oil and gas production and to prevent famine in the field and for prices not to rise,” said Azarakhsh Hafizi, an economist.
Meanwhile, some residents of the capital, criticizing the increase in the price of fuel, especially oil and gas in the winter season, ask the Islamic Emirate to pay serious attention to reducing the price of oil and gas, especially in the winter season.
“We want them to try to reduce the prices because most of our countrymen are not able to buy fuel,” said Abdul Musawer, a Kabul resident.
“The price of gas and oil is high, the price of foreign currency is reduced in the country but there is no change in the fuel prices,” said Ghulam Sakhi, a Kabul resident.
Meanwhile, some residents of the capital complain about the increase in the price of fuel, especially oil and gas, in the winter season.
