F.P. Report

PESHAWAR: A retired Subedar’s house in the Tirah valley of Khyber district was set on fire by unknown miscreants, Friday.

According to details, a three-storied building, which resembled a bungalow, in Ghulam Ali Kandao Kamarkhel was engulfed in flames and goods worth lakhs of rupees were also destroyed.

The sources said that due to the eviction orders issued by the security forces who are currently carrying out a security operation against terrorists in the area, the residents have left the place and shifted to safer places. The houses situated in the area are now empty and unoccupied.

The tribal elders have appealed to the Peshawar Corps Commander to take notice of the torching of the retired Subedar’s house in the Ghulam Ali Kandao area of Tirah valley.
