UNSC to meet today to discuss situation after N Korea nuclear test

NEW YORK: The United Nation Security Council will discuss the situation after the North Korea’s nuclear test as the meeting of UNSC was called today on the request of United States, Japan, Britain, France and South Korea.

On Sunday North Korea conducted its sixth and the most powerful nuclear test on Sunday which is clear violations of the UN resolutions and North Korea claiming it that test was successful and an advanced hydrogen bomb for long range missile.

The US mission informed in a statement informs that the 15 member UNSC will meet around 10am (7pm PST) on Monday.

United Nation imposed sanctions on North Korea over its ballistic and nuclear program. Reports suggested that China and Russia only viewing it a test of long range missile or nuclear assets as a trigger for further possible UN sanctions.
