US asked to identify terror hideouts: Foreign Minister

ISLAMABAD: Foreign Minister, Khawaja Asif has said during his tour to US he requested the officials to provide details and identify terror hideouts in Pakistan that Pakistan can initiate action against them.

This he said while talking to media persons outside the parliament after his return from the US officials visit. Regarding his earlier statement of cleaning own house, he said that he stands by his stance, what was the need of National Action Plan if everything in the country is alright.

Foreign Asif added he did not need any certificate from any other for my patriotism and I am still stands by his stance of needing to clean our house first then complaining from others.

Regarding his recent visit to US, Asif added that he informed the US authorities regarding the Pakistan reservation over India involvement in Afghanistan and accepted the Pakistan’s stance and adding that Pakistan also recommended adopting dialogue way of approach towards the solution of Afghan conflict.

Khawaj Asif visited United State for the first as the foreign minister with the aim to stabilize the relation between the countries as it was disturbed after the President Trump allegations against Pakistan of providing safe heavens to terrorists.
