US policies, forces failed to restore peace in Afghanistan: Khawaja Asif

ISLAMABAD: Foreign Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif has said the US policies and forces completely failed to restore peace in Afghanistan and adding that war is not a solution of any conflict and politically-negotiated solution in the best possible was to end Afghan conflict.

He said this while expressing these views during a meeting with his Iranian counterpart Dr Javad Zarif here. Asif also met with Iranian President Dr Hassan Rouhani, who said foreign powers did not want a solution of problems.

Dr Javad Zarif reaffirmed Iran’s commitment to strengthening relations with Pakistan in different field including trade, investment, connectivity as well as border management. Both ministers shared deep concern over human rights violations in the Indian Held Kashmir (IHK).

Both the foreign ministers also showed concern over the killing of innocent Muslims of Rohingya.
