US trains Daesh terrorists in Syria to form army

ABU KAMAL: The U.S. is establishing a “New Syrian Army” composed of Daesh terrorists, the Russian Reconciliation Center stated on Saturday.

“Despite the statements from the American side about its adherence to elimination of the Daesh terrorist organization, it continues cooperating with the remaining terrorists in Syria,” the center said. Instructors from the U.S. Special Operations Command are training terrorists to form the “New Syrian Army.” “The U.S. instructors are saying that after the training, the new units would be relocated to Syria’s south to fight,” it added.

The U.S. has been using a refugee camp located 20 kilometers northeast of al-Shaddadi in Syria’s al-Hasakah for over six months as a training base. The camp currently hosts approximately 750 terrorists “from Raqqa, Deir ez-Zor, Abu Kamal and the Euphrates’ eastern areas.”

Of the 750 terrorists at the camp, 400 are Daesh terrorists “who, with support from the U.S., fled Raqqa in a convoy in October.” The trained terrorists will be dispatched to Syria’s southern districts.

A Syrian source told Yeni Safak that Daesh leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi was captured in Iraq by the U.S. and was then brought to Syria’s al-Karamah region.

The source, who was previously a militant part of Jund al-Aqsa, said that Baghdadi was first taken to the U.S. base in Ras al-Ayn and then to a U.S. base in al-Hasakah-Rmeilan.

The source added that apart from Baghdadi, seven other top Daesh officials were a part of the group and that one of them was an Iraqi national and the others were from outside of Syria and Iraq.
